Our backyard was an uneven steep waste of space.
We never used it and hated looking at it.

We required some landscaping due to having substantial drainage work done in our back yard. This involved building a retaining wall and stairs to an upper level of the yard. As the work progressed, it became apparent that new paving would need to be done on the upper level which was not in the original plan. Sam gained a good understanding of what we required and he was able to suggest and source pavers for us saving us considerable time and effort. The final effect was fantastic and we couldn’t be happier. It has given our yard a real ‘lift’ and we are very pleased we had the work done and had it done by professionals.

Sam’s staff were, at all times, pleasant and professional and kept us informed about the course things needed to take. Sam was able to leave them to carry out the required work whilst he was not there due to his other business commitments. We recently had our backyard paved and landscaped by Metropolitan Landscapes. Our backyard had been turned into dirt by our 2 dogs. Sam and his team worked very hard and turned it into a dog friendly, people friendly place to relax. The dogs have a digging pit and some grass. We have a nice paved area we can BBQ and entertain. Our back garden had become a mess due to 2 dogs using it as a racing track and it had many different levels in a small area.

We enlisted Metropolitan Landscapes to make over our entire front and backyard which we had let decline and was difficult to maintain.Our brief to Sam was we wanted something functional and maintenance free.Sam immediately arranged a CAD drawing which was exactly what we were looking for, in our proposed pool area. When the pool design changed Sam accommodated the changes in keeping with the original design. We also discussed the designs for our front yard.

My mother is an elderly lady who has always enjoyed her garden area but it became to much hard work for her , she still wanted to pot around in her garden and wanted to enjoy being in it. The problem was that she lived in a Penthouse which meant a lot of stairs and hard work getting materials in and out. Metropolitan landscapes came up with the solution and had a garden makeover done to suit my mothers needs so she no longer has to bend down or work hard in it to appreciate her garden. My first encounter with Metropolitan Landscapes was a very small job replacing a lawn in the front garden. Sam got the job on price alone,quoting significantly less than two other landscapers. Sam made a greatfirst impression, doing a really professional job and despite the small scale of the project he paid close attention to detail and left the are looking clean and tidy. Sam has since completely re-landscaped our back yard and given the front of the house a makeover with fabulous planter boxes and feature plants. The back yard was a significant challenge, the starting point being a failed english garden on a steep grassy slope. Sam completely redesigned the entire area, levelling the ground with retaining walls and building a paved entertaining area surrounded by trees, architectural plants and flowering ground cover. Sam brought all the ideas to the project, taking great pride in all aspects of the design and execution. His team were completely professional and a pleasure to have around.
